I’m TJ Mabardy, and I’m passionate about building a career in the sports media industry. I’ve known I wanted to cover sports professionally for as long as I can remember, and I’m ready to take on any challenge to make it happen.

My goal is to become a walking encyclopedia of sports history and use that knowledge to produce engaging, entertaining content for fans like me. While my biggest passions are football, basketball, and Boston sports, I’m eager to embrace any opportunity in the industry to grow and prove myself.

This site highlights the work I’ve produced since graduating from Quinnipiac University, including podcasts, articles, and various multimedia projects from the past few years. As I continue developing my skills and experience, I look forward to connecting, collaborating, and sharing insights with fellow sports fans and industry professionals.

Sleeper

Managing Sleeper’s Celtics social media branch, posting game coverage, news, highlights, and other content.

The Lead

Contributing NFL, NBA, NCAAB, and WNBA articles for the website as a writer and copyeditor.

The Mabardy Demo tapes

Solo-hosted and produced over 50 podcast episodes, breaking down Patriots games, NFL Playoffs, Red Sox news, and other major sports stories.

At Sleeper, I manage a Celtics-based X (formerly Twitter) account as well as the company’s Celtics forum within their app. I create daily content, including game coverage, news updates, highlights, and analysis. I took over as the founding admin of the account in late April and have generated over 1,400 posts and grown the account to over 1,000 followers.

I also write and copyedit for The Lead, mostly covering the Patriots and Celtics while occasionally branching into national topics. As part of the copyediting team, I help refine articles, optimize SEO, and ensure they meet publishing standards. This role has sharpened my writing skills and deepened my understanding of the editorial process.

Previously, I hosted a daily live-streamed talk show for GSMC Sports Network, producing more than 1,300 videos over 10 months. Each episode ran over an hour and featured multiple segments. Running the show independently, I handled everything from topic research and graphics to production and post-publishing. The experience taught me how to manage a demanding workload while consistently delivering professional, engaging content.

In addition, I launched my podcast, The Mabardy Demo Tapes, in September 2023. I’ve recorded over 50 episodes to date, managing all aspects of production myself. The show has been a creative outlet for sports analysis and a way to stay sharp between professional projects.

I’m always looking for new opportunities to contribute, grow, and collaborate on meaningful work. I can be reached most easily via email at tjmbardy2001@gmail.com, or through direct messages on X or LinkedIn.
